Edra Retreats offers fully private villas and retreat homes in Lisbon and surrounding areas, designed for corporate retreats, large group stays, and family gatherings. Each booking includes exclusive use of the entire property.
Are your villas suitable for corporate retreats in Lisbon?
Yes. Our Lisbon villas are designed for company offsites, leadership retreats, and workshops, with high-speed Wi-Fi and spacious common areas for collaboration and downtime.
What are the best villas in Lisbon for a company offsite?
Barcarena and Paço de Arcos are especially popular for corporate retreats due to their privacy, size, outdoor areas, and group-friendly layouts. We can recommend the best fit based on your dates and group size.
How many people can your properties accommodate?
- Barcarena: up to 37 people;
- Paço de Arcos: up to 27 guests;
- Intendente: upt to 27 guests
Are your properties suitable for large family groups?
Yes. Our homes work well for multi-generation trips. Baby cots (€15/day, capped at €50 per stay) and high chairs are available upon request.
What is required to confirm a direct booking?
For direct bookings, 50% is due upon confirmation and the remaining 50% is due 60 days before check-in. Platform bookings follow the payment terms shown at checkout.
What is your cancellation policy?
Direct bookings: 60+ days before check-in → 50% refund; fewer than 60 days → no refund.
Airbnb/Booking.com/other platforms: the cancellation policy displayed on the platform at booking applies.
Do you offer discounts for direct bookings in Lisbon?
Yes. We offer preferential pricing for direct bookings. Contact us directly for the best available rate for your dates.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. All reservations require a refundable security deposit placed as a temporary card authorization (a hold, not a charge). It is released after check-out if no issues are found.
Is parking available?
Parking varies by property:
- Intendente: public parking about 10 minutes walking distance
- Paço de Arcos: up to 2 cars in the driveway
- Barcarena: up to 2 cars in the driveway plus nearby street parking
Is Wi-Fi suitable for remote work and retreats?
Yes. All properties offer high-speed Wi-Fi suitable for video calls, streaming, and remote work.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes.
For the Intendente apartment quiet hours are 22:00–08:00.
For our houses in Barcarena and Paço de Arcos quiet hours are 22:00-09:00, and outdoor areas may not be used during this time.
Noise monitoring measures decibel levels only (no audio recording).
Do you provide towels and linens?
Yes. Each confirmed guest receives 1 body towel + 1 face towel. Pool towels are also provided in homes with pools or jacuzzis.
Do you provide invoices for companies? Is VAT included?
Yes. We can provide VAT-compliant invoices for companies upon request. VAT is included unless explicitly stated otherwise.
What payment methods do you accept?
For direct payments, we accept these:
- Bank transfer
- Credit card payments
For reservations made through Airbnb, Booking.com, or other platforms, payment methods follow the options available on that platform at checkout.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is permitted outdoors only. In Intendente, most bedrooms and the living room have terraces where smoking is allowed.
Do you offer additional cleanings for longer stays?
Yes. Additional cleanings can be arranged for an extra fee.
Do you work with private chefs?
Yes. We have a roster of chefs familiar with our homes. After booking confirmation, we can share contact details.
What type of coffee machine is available?
Our homes include Delta coffee pod machines and filter coffee options.
Are there security cameras?
Some properties (such as Paço de Arcos and Barcarena) have exterior-facing cameras monitoring entry points only. There are no cameras inside living spaces.
Is the property accessible for reduced mobility?
Our homes are generally multi-level and not fully adapted for reduced mobility. Barcarena offers some ground-floor access, but accessibility is limited.
Is there city noise?
Intendente is in central Lisbon, so typical city noise may be noticeable, especially with windows open. Our other properties are generally in quieter residential areas.
Can beds be configured as singles or doubles?
Some bedrooms offer flexible bed configurations. Please check the property layout for details.
Can I modify or extend my reservation after booking?
We understand that plans can change. Modifications or extensions are possible subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as possible with your request, and we’ll do our best to assist.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in and check-out times vary by property:
Intendente: Check-in from 16:00 | Check-out by 11:00
Barcarena & Paço de Arcos: Check-in from 17:00 | Check-out by 10:00
If you have specific timing needs, please let us know in advance.
Is early check-in available?
Early check-in is subject to availability and cleaning schedules.
When possible, luggage drop-off may be arranged before the official check-in time. Access to the property during cleaning is not permitted to ensure proper preparation for your stay.
Is late check-out available?
Late check-out is subject to availability.
If approved, guests may be asked to vacate bedrooms earlier while using common areas for a limited time. Final departure time will be confirmed in advance.
Failure to comply with agreed departure times may result in an additional fee.
Are pets allowed at your properties?
Yes, pets are allowed in our villas (Barcarena and Paço de Arcos) for an additional fee of €30 per day. Pets are not permitted in the Intendente apartment.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and informing us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
Will we have exclusive use of the property?
Yes. All bookings include exclusive use of the entire villa or apartment for your group only.
What is the largest villa you offer in Lisbon?
Barcarena accommodates up to 37 guests, making it one of the largest private group villas in the Lisbon area.
Can we host a celebration or special gathering at the property?
Our homes are designed for overnight stays rather than open events. Small gatherings may be possible depending on the property, season, and group profile. Please contact us with details so we can advise accordingly.
Are day visitors allowed?
All guests (overnight and day visitors) must be registered. Day visitors are treated as extra guests and may be permitted depending on the property and prior to arrival. Please inform us in advance.
How far are the properties from Lisbon city center and the airport?
Travel times vary by property, but all homes are within the Lisbon metropolitan area and easily accessible by car or ride-sharing. We’re happy to provide estimated travel times for your specific dates.
